Love the summer orzo salad, and so many of your recipes! I really enjoyed your comments on authenticity. I appreciate this about you, and it's why I always trust your recipes and photos. There's a real person behind these meals and clean eating :) Also really enjoyed the photos of your vacation!
Hello! I am a brand new subscriber as of today, 7/27/24, and randomly chose this post (last month's newsletter content rather than "this" months, July) and read down to see your statement on Authenticity. You don't know how it made me just... happy. I KNEW there were plenty of 'authentic' people around, but "they" are so hard to spot! I have trouble relating to "smoke and mirror" online content and avoid those types of people in person. Most folks simply feel better relating to one another (IRL, I might add, at this point) through a persona that is very dense and it's mostly out of self-defense, but the online stuff? Blech... and I can sense, almost SMELL the presence of AI-generated content, let alone human generated crap filler. I appreciate your statement and am even more determined to leisurely peruse your recipes.
The only thing I can remember from this morning, when I discovered your Substack newsletter, is that I was searching for a Basil Lemonade recipe for all the fresh basil I've got in the house. Somehow, here I am now.
Thanks for your lovely content and genuine desire to reach out to others!
That Orzo salad looks yum!
